Wild Arts Festival e-card
Well, the holiday period is nearly upon us. This week marks the beginning of one of the busiest times of year here at the Eggtooth Studios. We have decided to opt out of doing any shows over the Thanksgiving “Black Friday” weekend this year for the first time in about 5 years. We will be spending that time with family instead of on the road. We will be starting the holiday season with the Wild Arts Festival this weekend in Portland Oregon. This has been one of our favorite shows in years past; it is a beautiful venue, the crowd is enthusiastic and supportive, there are plenty of artist benefits like snacks (Jack especially likes that part), and our sales have always made the weekend worthwhile. This particular show benefits the Audubon Society of Portland not only because there is an admission fee, but because a good portion of proceeds from sales go back to Audubon. The art works are always just plain stunning here, especially if you are a wildlife or nature afficianado, and it is easy to shop! This year, for the first time, we will have two separate (but connected) booths at this show….Karen will have a jewelry booth and Jack will have a furniture booth. December 2-3 – Country Christmas Holiday Craft Fair benefiting College of the Siskiyous Foundation; Friday 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Please visit Karen at her booth for this local festival; this was Karen’s first-ever festival years ago and we still enjoy it! Located in the College of the Siskiyous gymnasium Weed, CA.
December 2, 3 & 4 - Davis Art Center Holiday Sale benefiting Davis Art Center; Friday noon – 8 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please visit Jack at this wonderful small art festival at the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St. Davis, CA. Our last show in the Sacramento valley area for the 2011 season.
December 10 – Fort Jones Christmas Craft Fair, benefiting Marble Rim Gallery and Siskiyou Arts Council; Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please visit us both at our only local show of they 2011 season,located in the gymnasium of Scott Valley Junior High. This is a great chance for us to see our neighbors and one of our favorite events each year. Our last show of the 2011 season!
