This earring is dedicated to finding beauty in unlikely places. The full name of this earring is “Random Acts….of Insects”. The texture in this earring is taken from grooves in fir wood made by engraver beetles, also called “galleries”. The grooves are random, artistic and …. beautiful.
The tear-drop shape charms are made of fine silver (99.9% silver). They measure 3/8 inch at the wide end of the drop and 1 ¼ inches in length, measured from where the ear wire inserts into your ear. They are polished to a crisp shine and treated with just a hint of patina to emphasize the texture. Patterns in charms vary. The extra-long ear wires are sterling silver.
A truly beautiful and wonderful earring….inspired by an overlooked, random act of beauty.
