Description
This extra large “Max” (8” x 13”) Black Walnut (Claro) earring holder will accommodate 30-36 pair of open wire earrings (French wire, loop, or lever back) for beautiful display and easy selection hanging from polished brass rods. (Any earrings shown in photos for display purposes only and not included with the rack. Wood grain patterns, orientation, and shades may vary from those shown in photos.)
Following the teachings and philosophies of master craftsman James Krenov, the hand shaped and smoothed features make each rack unique. Each frame features traditional hand-fitted mortise and live-tenon joinery, band sawn veneer panel, and finishes that are hand rubbed. These are the same fine materials, exacting methods and thoughtful techniques that I use to build fine furniture.
I only use sustainably-harvested woods endemic to forests of the Pacific Northwest in these unique pieces. Though I am aware there are many beautiful exotic woods available, use of those woods runs counter to my conservation ethic and “buy local” philosophy. I make each piece with care and forethought in the shop/art studio which I share with my wife/jeweler Karen. We enjoy views of the Marble Mountains of Northern California’s Klamath Mountains from this studio which we built in the last five years. Your careful inspection and handling of each piece will reveal my love for this craft and natures’ gifts to us.
