Description
The 2017 North American Total Solar Eclipse was a spectacular event for those who were fortunate enough to witness it. From a crowded roadside parking lot in Prairie City, Oregon, I watched with amazement as the moon shadow raced across the ground at the last seconds preceding totality. Looking up at the sun, it felt like I had been transported to a different planet because the sun looked so unlike any sun I had ever seen before. This earring design is dedicated to that unforgettable event.
Sterling silver circles suspend from a reinforced sterling silver ear wire. The silver has been oxidized for dramatic effect, then polished to a crisp shine. Hanging just off center is a tube-set mother of pearl cabochon, depicting the tiny glimpse of sun, just before totality.
Dimensions: The circles measure 7/8 inch across and hang at a length of 1 and ½ inches.
This is a great contemporary design whether or not you witnessed the Eclipse. (You get another chance in 2024).
Your earrings arrive in a sturdy gift box with story card listing all components. Already for gifting. Shipping is free.
